The De Kort's wanted to turn their underused stair space into a added storage and home office space and make the stairs feel safer.  Vertical steel balusters extending to the ceiling, deep drawers and cabinets matching the stair profile with a light oak table top and shelf have made the space into one of the more used parts of their house.
